Terms of Use

Explore IQ is an online marketplace. Independent local operators (“hosts”) list experiences such as safaris, treks, boat trips, cultural performances and workshops, and travellers book and pay for them through us. The host runs the experience and is responsible for it. We provide the platform, take the payment on the host's behalf, and pass it on to the host after deducting our fee.

Places and sights listed for information (for example a viewpoint, temple or waterfall) are not run by us or by hosts unless a bookable experience says so. Opening hours, entry fees and access rules for such places are set by their owners or by the government and can change without notice.

• You must be at least 18 to create an account and book. You can book for others, including children, and you are responsible for them.
• Give accurate details. Hosts use your name and phone number to run the experience and contact you on the day.
• Keep your sign-in private. You are responsible for bookings made from your account.
• We may suspend an account that is used for fraud, abuse of hosts or other travellers, or to get around these terms.

• Prices are in Indian Rupees and shown before you pay, including any options you choose. The total at checkout is what you pay.
• A booking is confirmed when the payment succeeds and you receive a confirmation with a booking reference. Seats are held for a short time during checkout; if payment is not completed in that time they are released.
• If seats are taken by someone else before your payment completes, the booking is cancelled and the full amount is refunded automatically.
• Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank login.
• Each experience shows its cancellation policy before you book. Cancellations, refunds and date changes follow that policy, as explained in Cancellation & Refunds.

• Arrive at the meeting point on time with your booking reference or pass. Late arrival may mean you miss the experience without a refund.
• Follow the host's safety instructions, the rules of forest, wildlife and heritage areas, and any permits or ID requirements stated in the listing.
• Hosts may refuse or stop participation for someone who is intoxicated, unwell, unsafe or abusive. That is not a host cancellation and may not be refunded.
• Many experiences take place outdoors and involve physical activity, water, heights, animals or remote areas. Read the listing's fitness, age and safety notes, tell the host about any medical condition, and decide for yourself whether it is suitable. Travel insurance is recommended.

If an experience cannot run because of weather, a government or forest department closure, or another reason outside your control, the host or we will cancel it and you get a full refund, or you can choose another date where offered. We tell you as soon as we know, by email or WhatsApp.

• Only travellers with a completed booking can review that experience. Reviews must be honest, about your own experience, and must not include personal data of others, hate, or advertising.
• We do not edit what a review says. We may remove reviews or photos that break these rules or the law, and we never remove a review only because it is negative.
• When you upload photos or write reviews, you allow us to show them on Explore IQ and in our promotion of the experience. You keep ownership, and you confirm you have the right to share them.

• Use Explore IQ for anything unlawful, or to harass hosts, travellers or our staff.
• Arrange to pay a host outside Explore IQ for an experience you found here, to avoid our fee. Such payments are not protected by our refund process.
• Copy listings, scrape the site, or interfere with its security or operation. Developers can use our partner API instead.
• Post false reviews, or create bookings you do not intend to keep.

We check host identity and licences where required before they can take bookings, and we act on complaints. But hosts are independent businesses, not our employees or agents, and we do not run, control or supervise the experiences. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for injury, loss or damage caused by a host, another traveller, or events outside our control.

Where we are liable, our total liability for a booking is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for our own negligence causing death or personal injury, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

We may update these terms. We change the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, tell account holders by email. Bookings already made keep the cancellation policy shown when you booked.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first; most problems are solved quickly. If not, courts at Kochi, Kerala have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission.

Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within one month, as required by the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Details of our Grievance Officer are on the contact page.
