About Purnia
Purnia lies in the Kosi-Seemanchal region of north-eastern Bihar, extending north from the Ganga. The city has hoisted the national flag at 12:07 am every Independence Day since 1947; Jalalgarh Fort, an old fort near the city, is its listed sight.
