About Lalitpur
Lalitpur, in Bundelkhand, is almost surrounded by Madhya Pradesh and joined to Jhansi only by a narrow corridor. At Deogarh, on the Betwa, are the Gupta-period Dashavatara Temple, one of the earliest surviving stone temples in north India, and a hill of Jain temples.
